I will not purchase again from Amazon.com. The book was promised on a specific date before purchase to reel me in, but after the credit card transaction they extended the date for a month after what was promised.
After that additional period that amazon gave itself at my expense, the book still wasn’t shipped. Two weeks later I recieved an e-mail & this review survey, but still no book. BUYER BE WARE!

Ounce apon a time in the beginning of the 90′s there was a great book: “Molecular Biology of the Cell”. However, this very book missed the oppportunity to keep up with exponentiall growth of knowledge accumulated in this field. Indeed it lacks the fundamental information needed by every cell biology student and may only satisfy the needs of a AP biology class at High School.

Maybe the following comment is a result of the fact that the UCI dept mandates that the students buy the book for the BIO 109 course. Whatever the case, this is one of the worst bio books I’ve ever read. Their explanations were confusing and there were major typos/mistakes w/in the flow charts they presented in the chart.

This book was very in depth and difficult. Bolded vocab in the chapters were not in the back of the book. It did have good illustrations. Good luck in this course.
